STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

FACE

I always like to start with a clean canvas, so I cleansed and lightly exfoliated with my Konjac Sponge (review HERE), and then I misted my face and neck with Sponge Skincare Aromatotherapia Basiliko – Sweet Basil Mist ($45 – 50ml review coming) – a skin balancing treatment that’s specially formulated, with vitamins, minerals & antioxidants, to promote peace of mind and clear, healthier-looking skin.

Next I applied the uber-luxurious oil that instantly hydrates and calms my skin while leaving an unparalleled glow – the Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil ($150 – 1fl.oz. – review HERE).

After letting the face oil soak in for a minute or two,  I mixed together Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Aqua Primer ($59 – 30ml – review HERE) and As If It Were Still Summer…Bronzing Glow Liquid ($78 – 50ml) for a completely natural look with a touch of sun-kissed color and a lovely, slightly bronzed glow.

 RBR Bronzing Glow Liquid:

Next I applied the  Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle Liquid Foundation ($64 – 29ml) in the shade Chestnut Milk (review HERE).  Here is what RBR has to say about their liquid foundation, which I find it to be entirely accurate:

This dreamily light gel texture blends and moves with the contours of the face like a second skin and minimises imperfections to give the appearance of a flawless complexion whilst allowing your natural beauty to show through.”

I followed Rouge Bunny Rouge’s application instructions by applying with a foundation brush all over face, paying particular attention under the eyes and in & out of the contours of my face.  I used my absolutely favorite brush ever, the Tom Ford Liquid Foundation Brush (review HERE) and with light up-and-down strokes on the cheeks to give a natural look, and because of Milk Aquarelle’s gel texture, i’m able to easily layer Chestnut Milk and adjust the coverage.   I didn’t apply foundation to the neck; I finished the application just above my jaw line and blended down with my fingers to give a perfectly natural finish.

RBR Liquid Foundation in Chestnut Milk:

Next I used Beauty Is Life Ultra Cream Powder Nose-Chin Repair ($50 – 10g) in the shade Porcelain Beige just for a little extra coverage to conceal any red spots on my nose and chin.  The included sponge works brilliantly for concealing and touching up these areas while making it look even and never cakey.

Beauty Is Life Ultra Cream Powder in Porcelain Beige:

To cover up any darkness under my eyes, I used my newly purchased beauty tool, the luxurious highlighting concealer brush By Terry’s Touche Veloutee ($58 – .22 fl.oz) in the shade #2 Cream.  The soft bristles of the brush applicator glide across my skin effortlessly, and its’ intensive formula features ultra-smoothing and anti-dullness ingredients.  By Terry says:

“This multi-use brightening & concealing tool,  sweeps away dark areas and imperfections with High-Definition action…Wrinkles and fine lines appear filled in, while dark spots, redness and blemishes are perfectly concealed with a lasting illuminating finish.”

In addition to using the Touch Veloutee under my eyes, I applied a few strokes on the shades in my nose groove and under & above the arch’s of my eyebrows.  The results made my face look fresh, bright and even.

CHEEKS

For a finishing touch of light reflecting radiance, I used Rouge Bunny Rouge Loves Lights Highlighting Powder ($49 – 12g) in the shade Sweet To Touch.   With soft back & forth strokes, I lightly dusted the powder over my cheeks and temples, setting up highlights and resulting in a healthy fresh look.  I’m obsessed with this highlighting powder and I use it all the time!  It’s Fantastic!  I want to provide a short description from Rouge Bunny Rouge, since I haven’t reviewed this lovely product just yet…But don’t worry, my full review is coming… For now, here’s a little sneak peek…

“This powder is impalpable on the skin and instantly transforms the complexion. Advanced micronisation, in combination with treated spherical powders, produces an unusual perfecting powder with smoothing properties. Dazzling micro-particles are contained within a silky and luminous formula, with Ginseng Extract to revitalise.”

RBR Highlighting Powder in Sweet to Touch:

I finished my cheeks off with a beautiful delicate rose pink blush, Beauty Is Life Powder Blush ($28 – 3.5g) in the shade Geisha.  This blush is extremely well-made and finely pigmented, so I only need a tiny amount to flush my cheeks with this rosy color.  I used a small blusher brush so that I only shaded the apples of my cheeks, and then I softly blended it along my cheekbones.

LIPS

For my lips I first used my absolute all-time favorite lip liner pencil, the Rouge Bunny Rouge Long-lasting Lip Pencil ($23 – 1.2g) in the shade Vasco (review HERE).   I outlined my lip contour with the pencil to get well defined lips, then I just used my fingers to blend and soften the color inwards.

RBR Long-lasting Lip Pencil in Vasco:

Finally I topped off my lips with the ultra creamy and soft lipstick, Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour ($34 – 3.5g) in the shade Gracile.  The formula includes concentrated, ultra-thin pigments to offer radically intense color with full coverage and a satin finish, leaving lips supple and protected with lasting comfort.  It’s the perfect shade and texture to top off my lips (and my look) with a beautiful & professional finish!
