Makeup for Bachelorette Weekend in Vegas: Part Three

Jenni uses Rouge Bunny Rouge When Birds Are Singing…Long-lasting Eye Shadows for iridescent golden eyes in Vegas

For the second night spent in Las Vegas for a BFF’s Bachelorette celebration, I used the gold, bronze and peach sequions of my dress as inspiration for my eye makeup. The dress reflects pale golds, warm golds, metallic brown-bronzes and shimmering pink-peaches, and so those were the exact colors I chose for my eye shades from my Rouge Bunny Rouge collection.

My Dress…

My eye makeup…

I prepped the eye area with my favorite primer RBR Aqua Primer (review here.) Then with a large shader brush I brushed GOLDEN RHEA over the entire eye area from the lashes to the brows.

GOLDEN RHEA – Iridescent pale gold, pure and simple

Then I applied ABYSSINIAN CATBIRD with the RBR Sponge Applicator (# 015) to the outer half of my eyelid crease  and on the outer corner of my eyelid along the “V” and blended it well outwards and upwards above the browbone.

ABYSSINIAN CATBIRD – Metallic bronze with golden highlights
For my third eye shade I used the iridescent apricot pink FIRE-TAILED SUNBIRD to add some warmth to the eyes. I applied it slightly wet, to increase the intensity of the color, to the Inner corners of my eyes and blended half way into the lid.

Next, to accentuate my eyes further, I drew an even line with the creamy metallic dark brown Long-lasting Eye Pencil in LOLA along the outer half of the upper lash line.  I extended the line beyond the outer corners and hooked it under the eye just a bit to define the eyes. Then I smudged the line and the entire outer corner with the Sponge Applicator brush.
FELINE GAZE Long-lasting Eye Pencil LOLA – Creamy metallic dark brown, with light copper reflections

Lastly I used Fire Drops Loose Glitter Pigments in the pale mandarin-gold dust SLEEPING UNDER A MANDARIN TREE. I swept the loose glitter over the inner half of the eye and dusted up along the browbone right under the eyebrows with the RBR Crease Brush 012 to create a gorgeous holographic 3D effect. I also used the same crease brush to blend all three eye shadow shades and soften the whole tone.

  1. Hi Katie,
Thanks so much for your sweet comment! I purchased this dress at AllSaints in 2012. I don’t think they have this particular dress available anymore, but AllSaints always comes out with the most fun sequin dresses and skirts each season. You should definitely check them out!
