Eve Lom Dynaspot is an acne spot treatment which on the surface, feels and looks like all the other ‘drying lotion’ spot treatments out there.  However, I’ve discovered that it’s actually nothing at all like the other products of its kind – and I mean that in the best possible way.

As for my review of Eve Lom’s Dynaspot, I’m going to list the specific qualities Dynaspot has, that make it so different and so much better than all the rest.  But first, I thought it might be helpful to list all the other drying lotion spot treatments I’ve tried before, for reference.  I have combination skin with an oily t-zone sometimes prone to acne, as well as dryness in my cheeks.  I also have very sensitive skin, and so I’ve never been able to use traditional acne treatments like salicylic acid, since they usually irritate my skin – causing it to break out even more.  The only acne treatments my skin can handle are isolated spot treatments that dry-0ut the zit only and don’t effect the rest of my face.  With that said, I have used so many spot treatments like this before, including: Mario Badescu Drying Lotion, Kate Somerville Eradikate Acne Treatment, Bye Bye Blemish & Acne, Sonya Dakar Drying Potion…the list goes on and on…but my point being that out of all the spot treating lotions & potions i’ve tried in my life, Dynaspot is the best and here are the reasons why:

ONE – The pinkish skin-tone tint blends perfectly with my skin, allowing me to wear Dynaspot spot during the day as well as at night.  It virtually disappears into the skin when fully patted on to the treated area.  In fact, the light pink color acts as a fantastic concealer as well!  I often apply it on top of red spots and it simultaneously treats and conceals!

Below are a series of pictures showing how Dynaspot blends and conceals as you continue to ‘pat’ or ‘dab’ it into the skin…

TWO – I can wear Dynaspot underneath any other moisturizer, serum and/or makeup, without worrying about the dreaded pinkish-white overcast or a crusty dried paste that most other drying lotions leave behind.  Dynaspot dries normally and leaves a semi-matte yet smooth layer that does not affect the finish of other makeup.

A few more pictures of Dynaspot patted into my hand to show how it finishes WITHOUT any dry flakes or hardened paste.

Dynaspot is an excellent concealer too!

THREE – I actually enjoy the smell; it feels and smells more natural than other drying lotions that typically have a strong medicated-like odor.

FOUR – Lastly, I absolutely love the fact that Dynaspot doesn’t dry or irritate the surrounding skin like so many other spot treatments do.
I dab a tiny bit on blemishes during the day as a concealer or under makeup, and more on at night as a proper spot treatment – and it has never caused any irritation what so ever! It’s literally the only product containing salicylic acid that my skin will tolerate. It is gentle enough that it doesn’t dry out the surrounding skin or make it itchy or red, but effective enough to bring the zit to a head and then dry it out.

I HIGHLY recommend Eve Lom Dynaspot if you are prone to get the occasional zit or two, or even 3, 4 or 5!  It works brilliantly as an acne drying spot treatment, while simultaneously concealing redness and reducing inflammation.  It’s very pricey for such a small bottle, but you only need a tiny bit on each blemish and it will last you a very long time.  It’s definitely a must-have product for me since it’s the only spot treatment that I can wear during the day and it doesn’t dry out my skin.  LOVE IT!
