Review: Gentle and Exfoliating Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask

Kristin Reviews the Gentle and Exfoliating Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask

Trying get all the dead winter skin cells off my face while not to drying out my skin is proving to be a bit of a challenge. This time of year, my skin starts to feel tight and dry when I wake up each morning in my overheated apartment. I have no say in the temperature of my thermostat as my building controls the heat. All I can do to combat the the lack of moisture in my skin is 1) use a humidifier 2) stay moisturized and 3) EXFOLIATE…but not too much!  Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask is gentle enough to do just that! It is made with organic pumpkin, rich in beta carotene, blended with Manuka honey and citrus glycolic AHA. This mask dissolves and lifts away dull surface cells in just ten minutes! Its gentle organic ingredients smell great and it even looks like pumpkin pie filling(see below)! I use this mask three times a week, and it never strips my skin around my nose or mouth area like most other glycolic products do. This is a good mask for those with sensitive skin because it really does not burn in any way but exfoliates the skin effectively. It’s not one of those organic products that has all natural ingredients that don’t really do anything(like in that funny song on a recent episode of ‘Portlandia’!)

Andalou Naturals’ name and the philosophy behind their products is inspirational and really shows how much they care about humankind and making the world a better place. All their products are made with a minimum 70% certified organic. Their website says:

“The meaning of Andalou is ‘Path of Light’, and we believe it best reflects our intention to foster good things in the world and enrich the lives we touch, one responsible product at a time.”

“Just as Andalusia is a geographic and cultural gateway between Europe and Africa, bridged between the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, Andalou Naturals is a gateway between the best of nature and knowledge and a bridge from farm to bottle and botany to beauty.”

Kristin Says: This mask is a wonderful winter skin remedy! Just put this mask on after you wake up and watch all your dry winterskin melt away!

  1. Hi Jessica,
I used to use retin A and it made certain areas of my skin like the corners of my nose and mouth pretty sensitive and sometimes raw. I would say if you avoid your sensitive spots, you can use this mask once a week and be fine! Since the retin A is constantly exfoliating it’s a great idea to gently help remove those dead skin cells weekly and the Andlou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask will help do that.
