REVIEW: Jao Goe Body Oil

Revitalize your skin from hands to hair with this 100% Natural All Over Body Oil

Jao Goe Oil is a combination of 28 plant fruit and flower oils and butters. Lightly scented with Monoi from Tahiti. It goes into the skin quickly and leaves it feeling incredibly smooth. Lighter than a typical body butter, longer lasting than a moisturizer. Jao Goe Oil is unique in that it actually replaces the natural oils that we tend to lose do to age, environmental stress, and weather. This unique product should be used all over the body after shower or shave in the hair on the feet, anywhere and everywhere.

I started using the Jao Goe Oil—All Over Body Oil after Kristin so generously bought it for me, along with my Rickycare Argan Plus Comb (reviewed here) and several other beauty products from Ricky’s NYC.  It’s not your typical body lotion, for one thing it’s actually an oil made with a combination of plant, fruit and flower oils.  It looks like a cream at first, but when you begin to rub it in, the oil-blend is activated and glides across your skin with incredible ease.  I loved using this oil especially on my rough & dry knees and elbows, and since it’s 100% Natural I thought our Beauty BFF, Carly, would love it as well.  And so I ordered another bottle from the fabulous online retailer B-Glowing, and sent the tube of Goe Oil to Carly about a month ago so she could test it out this summer then review and share her results…

Goe Oil is an all over body oil—from “hands to hair.” It also claims to replace all of the natural oils that your skin loses throughout a dry, cold winter day, or a long, hot summer day.

It’s also 100% natural; ZERO parabens, sulphates, PEG’s, propylene glycol, TEA, DEA, phthalates, mineral oil, silicone and no synthetic fragrance.

Spending so much time in the hot summer sun lately—I gravitated toward this product right away. I have been testing it on my dry legs for a week now. I have been applying it first thing in the morning and then heading out the door for long, fun-filled summer days spent pool side, at the local zoo, farmers market, parks, cycling, hiking and walking our dog. I wanted to see if the product really was “long lasting” as it claimed on the packaging, and if it seemed to replace the natural oils my skin lost throughout the long, hot summer days.

When you first apply it, it is very oily (kind of messy, in fact), but not oily enough to deter me from applying a thin layer each morning.

It is extremely moisturizing after it is absorbed into the skin (which takes a few minutes).  And, just as it claims—it really is long lasting.  It seems to wear off around mid-afternoon (I usually apply around 8:30 a.m.), and that is after a long morning of sweating and being exposed to the sun and heat outside.  I would also say that my legs, overall, don’t seem as dry in the morning (before I apply Goe Oil)—so it seems, that it is in fact, replacing the natural oils that the summer sun sweats away.  An added bonus is that it has a very nice, subtle scent to it–even though it uses no artificial fragrance.  Overall I really like this product.  My only complaint is that it is kind of messy for about the first ten minutes after applying. Otherwise it is fantastic and seems to deliver all that it promises!!
