REVIEW: Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand “Titian”

Jenni reviews the brand new Cheeks in Bloom Blush Wand in shade TITIAN, introduced for summer 2012 as a part of Rouge Bunny Rouge’s “Mistral” Look

Both Kristin and I were instantly captivated with the Rouge Bunny Rouge “Mistral” look launch for summer 2012.  See our “Look Launch – Mistral” post HERE, our “Create the Look – Mistral” post HERE, and our “Product Launch – 5 New Glassy Gloss shades” HERE.
Sometimes we see something so fresh and pretty, we just have to make it our own! and so we gave in, to this obsession, and began to order one-by-one, each of the products used to create “Mistral.”  After all, what self-proclaimed ‘Beauty Girl’ wouldn’t love a look that is “fresh as dew in early summer mornings…”?   With neutral and balanced colors that compliment all skin tones, the Mistral look captures the essence of summer perfectly by creating a natural, fresh and sun-kissed glow.

Rouge Bunny Rouge MISTRAL Look & Products Used…

We will be reviewing all of the skincare and makeup products used for the Mistral look, as well as some products used in the Nest of Plenty look.  We will also test out different combinations of our favorite Rouge Bunny Rouge products, all in an effort to look ‘fresh as dew in early summer mornings!’
One of the first products to arrive, also happened to be one of the new products launched as a part of the look for summer 2012 – the Cheeks In Bloom Blush Wand NEW SHADE Titian.

I was so excited for the arrival of my very first Rouge Bunny Rouge cream blush purchase and I couldn’t wait to try it, but first, here is what Rouge Bunny Rouge has to say about their Blush Wands…

Application:  Blend with fingers, or layer on for intensity to achieve your very own look. Still want more? Than use this rare masterpiece on your lips too, for an ultra-sheer comfortable colour.

And now for my official review…
Simply put, Rouge Bunny Rouge’s Cheek Wand ($34) is a cream blush, available in five shades, in a convenient stick form.  Now i’ve never enjoyed a cream blush before, mostly because the types I’ve tried have been pink or rose in color, and always left an unnatural pinkish streak across my face making it impossible to blend in.  So when Rouge Bunny Rouge announced “We have answered customer demands for a very nude and natural color, enlivening your face with a truly subtle youthful shine” I thought I’d give this natural-nude cream blush a chance.
Along with a few other products used in the “Mistral” look, that I ordered from Beauty Habit, the adorable cheek wand Titian arrived last week.

A few swatches, in different lighting, of Titian on my arm…

With the summer weather in full force now, I figured it was the perfect time to try and achieve a “naturally balanced, slightly sun-kissed look,” and so I decided to take “Titian” on a test drive over the weekend.  The results? ………..WOW!
First thing I have to say is that Rouge Bunny Rouge’s cream blush formulas are unbelievable!  It melted into my skin instantly and magically!
Here’s a picture taken right after I opened the blush wand and applied Titian on my cheeks – with nothing else on my face except some moisturizer…

I was gitty with excitement, to have found such a wonderful new product that I love love LOVE!  The Blush Wand is made with natural oils and spherical powders “for a super-soft emollient cream-to-powder finish,” that blends evenly into your cheeks with virtually no effort at all!  The wand can be applied straight to cheeks and then blended with your fingers or a brush.  I blended it in with my fingers and then I layered on another coat with ease.  The best way to describe my first experience with the blush wand is to quote Rouge Bunny Rouge again –

This magical-sceptre-of-a-blush enlivens your face with a subtle youthful shine” – that’s 100% true!

Now moving on to my thoughts on the new color shade -Titian.  The shade is described as a semi-transparent, beige rose with the barest hint of peach, but I would describe it as A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!  This blush is a summer 2012 must-have AND must-have beauty product for every single summer, spring, vacation, weekend, party, date, etc. etc.  Basically if you want to achieve the most natural sun-kissed glow imaginable, that will lighten up your face with a gorgeous flushed look – buy Titian immediately!

Below are some pictures I took of myself wearing Titian over the weekend – I’m also wearing several other Rouge Bunny Rouge makeup products, but I will review them separately, because they’re also fabulous and deserve their own review!
Me in the bathroom, right after I finished my first attempt at the ‘Mistral’ look, and of course wearing ‘Titian’…

Outside, whether in the shade or sun, Titian is beautiful!
A few more pictures in various lighting…

I never thought a peach-toned blush would compliment my skin tone, but Rouge Bunny Rouge has proved me wrong.  I think it’s the prettiest nude blush with hints of peach that I’ve ever seen or worn.  It’s so soft and fresh yet elegant and classic at the same time.  Titian is my new all-time favorite blush for the ‘no makeup & natural’ look – period.  I highly recommend this gorgeous blush, I love it and I promise you will too!
