Kristin Reviews Shiseido’s White Lucent Spot Corrector Expert 10 Days To Brighter Skin Kit
What it is:
A collection of products to achieve luminous, healthy, even-toned skin.
What it is formulated to do:
This White Lucent skincare line was created with the latest advancements in Shiseido skincare technologies to deliver intensive brightening benefits. White Lucent promotes the overall condition of the skin with improved hydration, texture, and increased microcirculation, enhancing the skin’s natural radiance and targeting dark spots.
This set contains:
- 0.5 oz White Lucent Intensive Spot Targeting Serum
- 1.1 oz White Lucent Brightening Cleansing Foam
- 0.84 oz White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener Enriched
- 0.5 oz White Lucent Brightening Moisturizing Emulsion
First, use the Brightening Cleanser which is very, very foamy. A little goes a long way, and your skin feels squeaky clean after.
Follow with the softener. The softener works best if you use the Shiseido Facial Cotton Squares you can buy at Sephora ($9.50). They are so soft and non-abrasive to the skin. It’s important to press the softner into your skin AS YOU wipe and then wait till it dries before putting on the Intensive Sport Targeting Serum (the lady at the Shiseido counter stressed this to me with an almost crazy look in her eye!). There is also a cheaper alternative to Shiseido’s facial cotton squares available at my local Japanese market called Sunrise Mart for $2.49 for a box of 90 puffs! They’re a japanese brand called Selena Puffs 2 way. They are the same sized square and just as soft and absorbant as the Shiseido Facial Cotton. So you can decide which you would rather buy if you have japanese market near you! They are a little bit more on amazon($2.95+shipping).
Next is the Intensive Spot Targeting Serum, which definitely lightened up the unevenness my skin suffered after the summer! As I’ve said before, cleansing with the Clarisonic first really helps with getting the most out of your products, but this serum is seriously potent. It is also soothing and does not irritate the skin or make it red at all. All of these products are suitable for sensitive skin types in my opinion.
Lastly, apply the Brightening Moisturising Emulsion after the serum dries. This is my least favorite product in the collection mainly because I feel there are a lot of other brightening moisturizers out there that do a better job of making your skin feel moist and nourished while brightening. Sometimes, brightening products tend to make your skin feel tight and dry at night. I feel most night creams should really nourish and make your skin feel supple, not tight. I wanted to use this system all together until it was finished, but towards the end, I started to apply a richer night cream OVER the Brightening Moisturising Emulsion if my skin was feeling too dry. Otherwise, the whole collection does produce results and I would say it is worth trying it out!
